Biofertiliser Certification Scheme

The REA will be running the Biofertiliser Certification Scheme as soon as the Quality Protocol and PAS110 Standard are finalised and announced.

Please see the Biofertiliser Certification Scheme website which provides information and assurance to consumers, farmers, food producers and retailers that biofertiliser is safe and of good quality.

PAS110 Standard for Digestate

The PAS110 is currently being finalised and will be closed for alterations on 14th August 2009. It will be formally launched in mid September.  For queries please contact Nina Sweet on nina.sweet@wrap.org.uk or David Collins on dcollins@r-e-a.net.  The version of the PAS110 which is available below is not the latest version.  This will be published in mid September.

Quality Protocol

The Quality Protocol (QP) for "the production and use of quality outputs from anaerobic digestion of source-segregated biodegradable waste" has been completed and has now been returned from the European Commission to Defra.   The QP should be in operation with the PAS110 by early October 2009.
