Application and judging process
Initial nominations can now simply be made on-line. There is a different nomination form for the Champion Award. Anyone may pre-nominate anyone (including themselves) for any award. The general nomination form covers all awards apart from the individual award, which has a slightly different Champion form. Pre-nominations closed on the 12th March 2010.
The British Renewable Energy Awards have a distinguished panel of judges with wide experience across the energy and related sectors. These judges consider all the pre-nominations and narrow them down to short-lists of typically (but not necessarily) 5 to 9 nominees for each award.
The short-listed nominees are invited to complete a fuller entry (in two pages), closing in mid May. The judges will then meet to select the winner and any runners-up in each category.
