Judging criteria

In considering entries the judges will be consider the following factors:

  • Timescale: This award will consider projects completed in the year of the award and the previous year.
  • Suitability: The ‘fit’ with the above criteria for this award category and adherence to the awards guidelines.
  • Excellence: The operating performance of the project. Innovative features or approaches taken. The local support for the project.
  • Achievement: The extent to which the project meets its design parameters. Project completion to time and on budget.
  • Dedication: The extent to which the nomination represents exceptional efforts ‘above and beyond the call of duty’ or job requirements of those involved.
  • Award-worthiness: The extent to which this will act as an inspiration to others. Does this entry have the exceptional qualities that should be recognised with the prestige of an award?

The judges may give secondary consideration to balance, to encourage e.g. organisations that have not previously won awards, all sectors and regions of the renewable energy industry, entrants of varying sizes and stages of development.
