Judging criteria

In considering entries the judges will be consider the following factors:

  • Timescale: This award will consider primarily achievements in the year of the award and the previous year. Weight may also be given to nominees, which have pioneered renewable energy applications over the years.
  • Suitability: The ‘fit’ with the above criteria for this award category and adherence to the awards guidelines.
  • Excellence: The quality of the project or activity. The extent to which the applicant has optimised the use of renewable energy in their application.
  • Achievement: The extent that success has been proven and your original objectives have been met. The likelihood that this will act as an example for other organisations adopting renewable energy.
  • Dedication: The extent to which the nomination represents exceptional efforts ‘above and beyond the call of duty’ or job requirements of those involved.
  • Award-worthiness: The extent to which this will act as an inspiration to others. Does this entry have the exceptional qualities that should be recognised with the prestige of an award?

The judges may give secondary consideration to balance, to encourage e.g. organisations that have not previously won awards, all sectors and regions of the renewable energy industry, entrants of varying sizes and stages of development.
