Experts from the REA’s policy team will take you through all aspects of the RO and set out its transition into the “Feed-in Tariffs, with Contract for Difference” which will eventually replace the RO as the main mechanism for deploying larger scale renewables. In a series of detailed modules you will learn:

• The historical background to the RO and its basic mechanics
• The changes made in April 2009 – bringing in headroom and banding
• Fuel definitions and how ROCs are calculated
• Sustainability criteria and reporting
• The banding review
• Future proposed changes to the RO, post EMR
• An overview of the “Feed-in Tariffs, with Contract for Difference”, with timetable for implementation as proposed as part of the Electricity Market Reform package
