Renewables Dragons Den

We are seeking innovative presentations on the future of renewable energy generation from companies, universities and research institutes etc.

Following the success of the 'Dragons Den' sessions at nextgen 2011 in October, the Renewable Energy Association (REA), Nextgen Media Ltd and BDO are joining forces to launch the Renewables Dragons Den.

If you have an innovative energy generation concept, idea or project and want to air it to a panel comprising funders, legal experts, engineers and sector specialists, in front of an audience of renewables companies, why not submit an entry?
This is an ideal opportunity to receive feedback on your ideas and meet potential funders or partners.

Papers sought on: (not exclusive)

• 2nd + 3rd generation biofuels
• Non food sustainable feedstocks
• Advanced gasification
• Advanced pyrolysis
• New Fuel cell technology
• Power production from waste heat
• Smart grids and appliances
• Energy storage, interconnection and integration approaches
• Forecasting variable renewable output
• Biomethane production and injection
• Visions of future energy systems such as the Hydrogen/Methane/Biomethanol economy
• Advances in Biogas optimisation
• New Wind, Wave, Tidal and Hydro developments
• New sources of Hydrocarbons

Papers must be genuinely new or emerging technologies looking for commercialisation.

If successful, you will have 10-15 minutes to present your idea, before being quizzed by a panel of experts from the finance, business and engineering worlds.

The first meeting will take place on the evening of Wednesday 18th January 2012, at BDO’s offices in Baker Street, London.

Entries must be submitted no later than 31st December 2011.
