Collaborative policy
REA working with others
No one can do everything on their own. It is central to REA's approach that we work with others to help bring the positive changes that will benefit us all.
In addition to REA's substantial individual contribution to sustainable energy policy, there are many aspects where we have joined broader consortia to achieve results.
Renewables in context
The Renewable Energy Association appreciates that renewable energy is just one element of the broad policy portfolio needed to move to a more sustainable energy system. We also accept the principles of the Energy Hierarchy and the priority that must be given to energy conservation in particular.
Beyond the energy industry
Furthermore the comprehensive policy framework necessary will focus on energy use as much on energy production, and will therefore involve many parties outside the traditional energy industry, and in particular consumers, other parts of industry, national, regional and local branches of government.
We are therefore always looking for ways to work with others in helping to form these policy frameworks. Collaborative work with other organisations is a fundamental part of our policy activities.
This section of the website addresses some of those initiatives.
