We’re looking for an enthusiastic and confident person to work in our Marketing team to help us with our marketing and business development activities.
You’ll be based in our London office, which is just of the Strand.
You may already have had experience of a similar role or be looking for your first business development and marketing position, though what you will certainly have is an eye for detail, excellent communication skills and the confidence to act on your initiative, whilst valuing being part of a collaborative team.
This role be a good fit for someone who is adaptable, proactive, a creative thinker and can get the job done whilst developing great internal relationships with our colleagues.
Some of the tasks you’ll be doing:
- Undertaking Business Development and marketing activities, such as membership recruitment and sponsorship and event ticket sales
- Co-ordinating and updating content to our website, as well as ensuring our marketing materials are kept current
- Designing flyers, mailers and social media content
- Research and data gathering information to assist the marketing team and business development initiatives
- Assisting with the organisation and running of business development/marketing events for the Association
The role will be based in our London office with a provision for regular homeworking (currently 2 days in the office; and the option to work 3 days remotely).
Occasionally you will travel to our members offices, or other UK venues, to support events hosted there.
We offer 25 days annual leave.
Who we’re looking for:
You’ll have a strong interest in the issues around climate change and in performing a business development/marketing role in a trade association You’ll also have the core qualities to make a success of the role: confidence, good verbal and written communication skills, a keenness to learn, ability to use own initiative, collaborative and an attitude to getting tasks effectively completed in an efficient manner. Whilst you will work alongside other colleagues, you will be expected to manage and progress your own workload. You’ll also be confident in talking to senior staff when prospecting for new members.
An understanding of the core MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and Adobe Cloud (Illustrator and Photoshop) will be necessary for this role. In addition, the ability to undertake general Business Development research, have an understanding of LinkedIn and the ability to effectively use a CRM system will be extremely useful, however some training and coaching will be given to help you make the most of this role.
