On 23rd April, we held an online member meeting for our Organics Forum. The meeting focused on Defra’s consultation on modernising the UK’s fertiliser legislation. You can read about the consultation here.

We were joined by Elizabeth Cooper, Senior Policy Officer in Defra’s Fertiliser Policy team, who gave an overview of the consultation (specifically the areas relevant to compost and digestate), and took questions from members. Members then had an opportunity to discuss the consultation, including concerns, questions, and comments to inform the REA response.
