REA Renewable Transport Fuels (RTF) Forum promotes the uptake of fuels which decarbonise modes of transport from HGVs, commercial fleet and aviation through to maritime. Through representing a wide range of fuel types, such as CNG/LNG biomethane, hydrogen and recycled carbon fuels, we seek to accelerate emissions reductions.
Working with the Government on a multitude of policy mechanisms, including the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation and the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Mandate, we are deeply involved with policy shaping. The interests of our varied members are deeply engaged with, producing a holistic argument for transport decarbonisation.

- Encouraging domestic production, self-sufficiency and the security of supply chains against international shocks
- Improved mandate clarity over criteria and feedstock eligibility so investment can be de-risked and growth for the sector unlocked
- Greater development fuel incentivisation, with vital supply streams secured for areas like SAF
- Addressing the impact of Indirect Land Use Change (ILUC) on assessment criteria
- Pushing for additional approval pathways for SAF
