Organics 2022

Our sincere apologies if you’re trying to book onto the event but your payment is being rejected.  Please email Mal on [email protected] with your telephone number and she will phone you to take your booking payment.

Some banks are already implementing 3D Secure, a protocol designed to be an additional security layer for online credit and debit card transactions, which will become a legal requirement for added security for all online card payments as of 14th March 2022.  Thank you for your patience.

We’re two years on since our last organics recycling conference, exhibition and dinner when we celebrated our 25th anniversary in style. Now we’re gathering together once again, post the pandemic, at what is an unprecedented time for the organics industry.

The Government’s Waste and Resource Strategy will introduce requirements for all food and garden waste to be separately collected opening opportunities for growth in the sector. Alongside this, there are a wide range of regulatory changes (e.g. the new Farming Rules for Water and the Quality Protocol) which themselves create many new challenges.

This year’s event offers an opportunity to get up to speed with all these changes, challenges and opportunities, alongside technical information for the sector and the chance to meet and catch-up face-to-face with colleagues.

We look forward to seeing you at the end of March.

Commercial opportunities are available to support the event, please contact Godwin to get involved – [email protected]

PROGRAMME WILL INCLUDE:

Session 1 – What’s happening now in organics recycling (invited speakers include Defra and the Environment Agency)

Session 2 – Looking forward to the sector changes to 2030

Panel discussion – What successful food and garden waste collections will look like

  • What sort of organics recycling facilities we should be investing in?
  • What should be considered in TEEP?
  • How can we ensure that the materials collected are high quality and sites are able to produce high quality outputs?

Session 3 – Meeting the future challenges

Gala Dinner – 31st March

Join us at the end of the day for the legendary Organics Gala Dinner, also to be held in The Berystede Hotel. Pre-dinner drinks followed by a three-course dinner with wine. There will be some fundraising, casino tables and lots of fun. It’s a great opportunity to continue networking with friends and colleagues in a relaxed atmosphere. Dress code – black tie. Please remember to bring some cash for charity.

Site Visit – 1st April

Join us for a visit to Short’s Agriculture’s Planners Farm composting site.

The site offers farm recycling, collections and green waste disposal and produces high quality PAS100 certified compost. The site accepts garden waste from local authority collections alongside landscapers and forestry waste and produces two grades of high-quality compost supplied for use in landscaping, horticulture, agriculture, and turf maintenance.  Download the booking form here.
