The British Renewable Energy Awards is the most prestigious event in the UK’s renewable energy industry calendar; recognising and celebrating the achievements of companies and individuals who have done something amazing in renewables or clean tech over the past year.

The British Renewable Energy Awards are organised by the REA. The Awards will be presented at the Gala Dinner on Thursday, 11th June 2020 at the InterContinental Park Lane – London W1.

This Years Award Categories Are

  • Community – for a community group which has been active in delivering a renewable energy project or programme of installations in their area during 2019.
  • Company – for the company that’s done the most in the past year to advance UK renewables and clean technology.
  • Customer Service Recognition – for an energy supplier (including those supplying via a PPA) delivering customer service excellence or innovation whilst supporting the UK’s energy transition to Net Zero.
  • Financial Leadership – for a financial product that has accelerated the deployment of renewables in the UK during past year.
  • Innovation – for any innovative, renewable energy or clean technology device, invention or application which has achieved a major milestone or reached the market since January 2019.
  • Installer – for a company which has excelled in the installation of small-scale energy generation systems in homes; offering a high quality experience for consumers wishing to buy or lease equipment.
  • Leadership – for a company or organisation that is mainstreaming renewable energy through the scale of its investment and commitment to secure its energy needs from renewables.
  • Low Carbon Transport – recognising quality, commitment and innovation in supporting low carbon vehicle deployment for cars, vans, buses, road freight or on farm vehicles, powered by clean electricity or sustainable biofuels – and alternative vehicle fuels. Two categories this year – please indicate;
  • Project – for a company that has developed an outstanding project in either renewable energy, energy storage or low carbon transport infrastructure.
  • Smart Energy System – for a system that supports the roll-out, or take-up, of renewable energy and clean technologies whilst enhancing value and usefulness to consumers and Net Zero ambitions.
  • Sustainability – for an organisation delivering sustainable solutions – from organics recycling, to projects achieving zero waste, to companies rethinking waste or those offering an innovative, circular economy product or service.
