An open letter signed by the REA and over 30 industry leaders, addressed to Ed Miliband, Rachel Reeves and Miatta Fahnbulleh, has urged the government to use the upcoming Warm Homes Plan to extend the salary sacrifice scheme beyond Electric Vehicles (EVs) to also include clean technologies such as heat pumps, solar PV, home energy storage and energy efficiency products listed under the Energy Saving Materials (ESM) List. The REA and many others have recognised that this proposed policy would be crucial to decarbonising the UK cost-effectively, especially ahead of the UK’s Clean Power 2030 target.

Please see the jointly signed letter below along with a report by the Electric Car Scheme (ECS) on the benefits of expanding the Salary Sacrifice Scheme.
