This new report from the REA outlines a Green Transport Hub Strategy that will allow Freeport East to position itself as a UK and international leader in transport decarbonisation.

The Freeport East region, based around the ports of Felixstowe and Harwich, is a major UK transport hub. Decarbonisation of transport can enhance the Freeport’s future competitive position and attract new investment in green transport technologies and resources. Freeport East is already well placed to pursue this strategy through the UK Government’s energy transition plans.

Freeport East’s evolution to a co-ordinated ‘Green Transport Hub’ will bring opportunities for investment and to innovate and exploit new technologies. These can bring significant economic benefits to the area and the wider UK economy.

This report by the REA has been produced for Freeport East.
