The Welsh Government have introduced “The Water Resources (Control of Agricultural Pollution) (Wales) Regulations 2021” to reduce losses of pollutants from agriculture to the environment by setting rules for certain farming practices. It defines “organic manures” as any nitrogen fertilising material derived from plant, animal or human sources including livestock manures. The application of organic manures will be directly affected by some requirements within the regulations.
