REA REMA Conference

The Government’s Review of Electricity Market Arrangements (REMA) has been evaluating Britain’s electricity market design to explore ways to transition to a decarbonised, cost effective and secure electricity system. Ideas include, a green power pool, a split market and locational marginal pricing, as well the evolution of existing market arrangements.

The REA’s REMA Conference on Tuesday 27th June will give the industry an unparalleled opportunity to get updates on these reviews and discuss the best way forwards. This conference will also help to inform the next round of government consultations about REMA which are expected to be published in the summer.

The event will also see the launch of the REA’s REMA report, written in collaboration with Dr. Chris Harris (University of Bath). There’s a full day of presentations and panel discussions that will examine the impacts of different market proposals, help us to understand how other international markets are responding to these challenges, and explore the options in light of real-world market realities.

This event is shaping up to be a fantastic opportunity to network, share ideas and experiences, discuss some of the challenges industry is facing and look to the year ahead.
