At the REA, we are proud of our active participation in the annual Conference of the Parties (COP) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, a global platform where minds converge, ideas flourish, and actions speak louder than words. Since COP 26 in Glasgow, when the REA were appointed official observers to COP, we have been championing the deployment of renewable energy solutions in a growing capacity until COP 28, where we hosted a Blue Zone Pavilion for two weeks in Dubai, UAE.

Our COP Engagement Highlights:

Global Dialogue: REA staff chair and speak at events, actively engaging in the international discourse on climate change and clean energy.

Networking Beyond Borders: We have interacted with thousands of sectoral leaders, engaging in discussions in three languages. The REA are actively pursuing Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) to ensure that these discussions continue into the future and lead to the active promotion of renewable energy generation.

Future-Forward Initiatives: These future activities including sponsored tours for UN youth delegations, to opening a free office space in Beijing – we are continuing to cultivate opportunities that go beyond conventions.

Hosted and Organized Events: Since COP 28, the REA hosted our first pavilion promoting the deployment of renewable energy by hosting events, including panel discussions, exclusive international report launches, discussions on forestry communities, transition finance roundtables, and high-level policy and industry dialogues.
