The Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs (EFRA) Committee have published a Call for Evidence, asking for stakeholder views on the Resources & Waste provisional Common Framework and its ability to manage policy divergence across the UK.

The Common Framework is a document which helps manage divergence in waste and resources policies between devolved governments across the UK. The provisional framework has been approved by all devolved executives and is currently undergoing parliamentary scrutiny, hence the call for evidence.

The REA has previously provided feedback through engagement with the EFRA committee. More details on the Common Framework can be read here.

The deadline for submitting evidence to the EFRA call for evidence is 5th May 2023. The call for evidence can be read here. Please contact us here with any questions.
