Update on the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive
European Parliament validates the provisional agreement it made with the European Council on the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation. When the legislative process is completed, the PPWR will amend Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 [on market surveillance and compliance of products] and Directive (EU) 2019/904 [the Single Use Plastics Directive], and repeal Directive 94/62/EC [the Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive].
